The journey continues…

Now that you’ve spent a bit of time getting to understand and appreciate the differences between your self and your Self, how are you doing with the new knowledge?  Are you talking to your Self more frequently?  Maybe even feeling like you’re harboring a sweet, little secret no one knows about?  Do you see yourself differently than you did only one month ago?  Stronger?  Clearer?  More intentional?                                                                                                 

Today we’ll be stopping for an authentic dig at the excavation site known as “You”.  As you begin to brush away the sands from ages past and carefully exhume parts of yourself you might not have been aware of before, here are a few things to be alert to.

While it might appear obvious and superficial, the “you” you are trying to find is the authentic you and the first identifiers you’ll most likely recognize will be things like your dental structure, fingerprints and signature.  Physical finds.  All uniquely yours and only yours.  There will never be another you.

The more precious jewels you’ll be looking for, however, are those of a spiritual nature…the invisible…the harder to find, harder to see parts of you that are even more priceless than the gold  or silver found in your teeth.  These would be your Light, your Truth, your intuitive Knowing.  Your gifts, your talents.  All equally as signature to you as your handwriting.

When searching for your authentic Self, these are important to know because WHAT you are is your physical body parts, but WHO you are is all Spirit.  It’s the life force within you that commands and controls your body to do, or act, or behave in certain ways.

Your Authentic Self is you at your deepest, most honest level.  Directed by a Power greater than yourself, whose aim is good, and whose passions are Guided. 

How do you find your Authentic Self?  By the sense of your feelings.  You will be in touch when you feel “the spirit move within you”.  Let me give you some examples.

• How do you feel after you’ve given someone a gift they absolutely adored?
• How do you feel after successfully accomplishing a difficult task?
• What do you experience inside when you’ve reached out and helped someone in need?
• What does it feel like to be lost in your art or your music or your life’s work?
• What happens emotionally to you when you experience romantic or creative passion?  What do your insides feel like?

Paying attention to what “moves” you will help identify your authenticity.   How?  Your Self will dance with delight or sometimes be moved to shed  tears but either way, you will Know because you will feel it.  It is in this Knowing that you begin to uncover your personal and Spiritual Self.  And the signature of your Spiritual Self contains a Power far greater than physical human minds can comprehend.  Once you discover this…your life will positively transform!

DAILY REFLECTIONS:

• Write down the top five experiences which have made you feel the happiest.
• Meditate on why they made you feel happy and realize feelings do not contain physical properties.  They come from a Higher form.
• Pause, for a moment, and think about the limitlessness of your Spiritual Self as compared to the limitedness of your physical self.  Are you tending to your Spiritual needs enough?
• During the most frightening, critical, painful times in your life, haven’t you turned towards your Spiritual Self for answers?
• Would you be willing to share a few of your thoughts today?  Hearing from you is important to all of us!  Write as much as you’d like in the comment section below!

My deep and sincere prayers are lifted today to the community of Seal Beach, California, as the loved ones, friends and neighbors of each victim of yesterday’s salon shooting struggle to make sense of the senseless. The terror, horror and grief created by one single man has profoundly and permanently impacted hundreds of lives and the ripple-effect will continue to pulse through the world until millions are informed and affected by Scott Dekraai’s actions.  One man.  One violent spree.  Lives lost and broken forever.

Around the globe, voices rise up and cry out, “Why, God?  Why?  Where were you?  Why did you allow this to happen?  Why?”

I pray we will listen and hear:

The Bible tells us: God created Man in His image.  Not just His physical image but His complete image.  That means He genetically transferred His Powers to us, too; the power to think, the power to create, the power to love, the power to choose…to believe…free-will.  He, with intention and Purpose, wove these into the DNA of every soul without prejudice of any kind.

I believe the Power of thought is the crux of world change if only the world could behold the truth Inscribed within it. Positive thoughts or negative thoughts?  We pick, we choose.  Free-will.  And think all we might, a “thought” will never manifest without action.  God granted us free-will to divinely distinguish us from every other creature on earth.  And God calls us to action.  What will we do with the life we are given?  How will we choose to behave towards one another?   Those who Believe in God will strive to take actions of love and service.  Those who are unaware of or in opposition to their Great Creator can easily become lost sheep in their self-imposed darkness.

Mr. Dekraai had a thought.

Mr. Dekraai took an action.

God NEVER commanded Scott Dekraai to perform a massacre.  God looked on in horror at the decision Mr. Dekraai made and quickly deployed His Troops en masse, keeping His Promise to be the Healer of our every wound.  Nowhere in Jesus’ teachings nor in the Word of the Bible does God promise life without trial.  His unfathomable promise is to heal us through them all.

To the fearful, devastated, wounded and weeping in Seal Beach…please, please feel our prayers.  Receive the outpouring of Assistance and Love flowing to you from around the world. Recognize the Source.  Those who are near you ARE God’s hands administering to your physical needs; they ARE God’s Voice administering to your broken hearts and spirits; they ARE the feet delivering warm meals and car pools and baby-sitters to help until you can stand on your own again.  Lean on one another.  Recognize that God is all around you and draw what you need to restore, renew and heal.  Take your time.  Re-enforcements are on their way.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart.  Lean not on your own understanding.

Believeth in Him in all your ways and He shall direct your path.”  Prov. 3:5-6

As candles of tribute and support are lit privately and publicly everywhere, SEE the Light that has come to illuminate your darkness.  It is not by coincidence that candles are lit at such times as these.  Allow yourselves to be illuminated by grace.  Lighting a candle is a symbolic act of acknowledging the greater of the Powers; Light will always and forever overcome your blackest hour.

I stand with you.  Communities everywhere are collectively united.  Your Light extends beyond the boundaries of your city’s limits allowing the world to see God’s presence on earth.

Heal and rest in this Truth: there is no force which can suppress the will of God begun.  And it began over 2,000 years ago with the outcome of another man’s actions.  Jesus.

The Love, Healing and Hope created by this one individual has profoundly and permanently impacted hundreds of lives and the ripple-effect will continue to pulse through the world until millions are informed and affected by Jesus.  One man.  One Lord.  Lives found and blessed forever.

He is the Light of the world.  Rekindle your flame by drawing from His.
